To ensure the safety and comfort of all, we ask individuals to act appropriately at all times that they are in our facility or participating in YMCA programs. At the YMCA these are not just words, they are the core values of everything we do. For more than 100 years the community has looked to the YMCA to develop the character of both youth and adults. Through innovative programs--based on these core values - the YMCA provides the tools proven to help every kid grow up healthy and ensure that families thrive in our community. These are challenging times for kids and families. Today more than ever, families need help to ensure their children receive enough attention they need to thrive. In Corry, Spartansburg, Clymer, and Union City, families depend on the YMCA. Each year the number of kids and families who need YMCA financial assistance increases.
Did You Know?Last year, The YMCA of Corry awarded more than $75,000 in financial assistance to deserving kids and families That Number will Increase in the coming Year In order to meet the growing need our goal is to raise $47,000 in this years campaign. Your support ensures that children who otherwise would not be able to afford the YMCA programs and services are included. You'll not only give a child a chance to belong today, but you'll help them learn important values that will positively impact their life and your community, tomorrow. In 2009 An estimated 33,000 people come through the doors of the YMCA of Corry annually. The YMCA of Corry serves over 1,400 members. On average the YMCA of Corry serves 650 people each week. In 2009, 410 underprivileged youth and families received over $75,000 in financial assistance for memberships and programs. The YMCA of Corry Day Care and Pre-school serve over 70 toddlers, pre-schoolers and families. The YMCA serves 1 out of every 4 Corry kids. The YMCA offers over 110 programs annually. The YMCA now offers "Fun Club" days to provide school age children a safe and fun environment when school is closed. Our aquarobics class has an active group of older adults with more than 35 participating on a regular basis. The YMCA Day Camp served over 35 children while providing low cost and free field trips. The YMCA has partnered with over 30 local businesses in a program to provide healthier lifestyles for their employees and their families.
